He visited our remote, non-ferry island by boat and carefully analyzed the site, so the house could be designed around the site's unique features, its view of Mt. Baker through one set of windows, the view of the water and islands to the Northwest and to the Southwest through other windows. The design is clean and simple, with views that keep my attention for hours. One entire wall of the house is a window: this is a design challenge in that it is an area of very high winds, which requires special engineering and construction.
